Serpents Eye Of Life | Tourmaline Statement Ring
The Serpents Eye of Life Ring was built around a single elongated emerald-cut tourmaline that showed a living gradient—vivid forest green at the crown fading through faint yellow into pale beige. It read like growth giving way to change.
Mid-build, the design called for the dragon’s gaze—not one eye, but two. I split the original tourmaline and recut it into a matched pair of marquise stones, aligning each to keep the natural green-to-yellow transition visible. The setting follows dragon scale lines, the twin marquise “eyes” set in 925 non-tarnish sterling silver to emphasize clarity, texture, and form.
This wasn’t the first plan. I initially sketched a fire-dragon ring in 14kt yellow gold with opal and diamond. The stone had other ideas. Silver and tourmaline turned it into a dragon of life—protection, renewal, and transformation, made by hand, with honest decisions at the bench.
